Volunteering Victoria is hosting a workshop on a new model for measuring the return on investment (ROI) from volunteer engagement. Presented by Tony Goodrow, President of UK based Better Impact, the half day workshop will feature a new way to calculate the return on investment of volunteer engagement and monitor the performance of volunteer engagement for internal process improvements.
Fifty-four volunteer involving organisations in the health sector nationally took part in a benchmarking study which showed the vast majority of programs were structured (96%) and included ongoing training and development for volunteers.
Volunteering Victoria has received a three-year $775,000 funding commitment from Federal and State Governments for a project to recruit, train, support, deploy and debrief a workforce of skilled volunteer managers to manage spontaneous emergency volunteers during disaster recovery and relief.
