Does your organisation provide opportunities for young people? ActNow! |
ActNow is a program within the Inspire Foundation that provides young people with opportunities to find out more about their world and take actions on the issues that they care about.
Young people use ActNow to find out information on social, political, environmental, lifestyle and topical issues for a non-judgmental and factual snapshot of the bigger picture. All the content you find on ActNow is written by ActNow members who are young people. By knowing more about the issues that affect young people ActNow knows that young people feel more empowered to take action on those issues and do something about them.
Volunteer-involving organisations that have volunteer roles for young people are invited to provide information to the ActNow! website. This is a great chance to profile your organisation to the 14-25 year old age group if your organisation works with them as volunteers.
For an example of how your organisation page will look see: www.actnow.com.au/Groups/Heywire.aspx
ActNow! also has a monthly newsletter 3 Things. 3 Things provides you with ideas for engaging young people online and features new and emerging technology and trends. To see the latest issue have a look at it here: www.actnow.com.au/Action/Check_out_3_Things.aspx
