Mission and Vision

Vision
Our vision is to connect the different members of community and build a lifetime of opportunity through volunteering.

Mission
Our mission is to support and promote volunteering to all Victorians by providing excellence in service and advice.

Leadership in the three areas of Education, Capacity Building and Advocacy serve as our pathway to achieving our mission.

Education
We provide training programs, advice and resources to enrich the knowledge-base of our members.

We work to inform decision makers about the value of volunteering.

We assist volunteer managers to help them achieve excellence in their volunteer relationships and programs.

Capacity Building
We equip the community with resources so that they can successfully engage volunteers, either as organisations or individually.

Advocacy
We act to influence and build partnerships with decision makers in all levels of government, as well as within organisations in the volunteer sector, to ensure appropriate roles, conditions, policies and recognition for volunteers.
