Volunteering Victoria has made a submission to the Victorian Treasurer for consideration in preparation of the 2012-2013 state budget.

Our submission recommends investment in three key areas:

• research and reporting, to develop a full and clear picture of the nature and contribution of volunteering in Victoria
• local volunteering support, particularly in remote and growth areas
• peak bodies and centralised support agencies that develop the capacity of organisations to involve volunteers
